Are your teeth stained, chipped or not aligned?
Porcelain Veneers are a perfect solution for hiding imperfections such as broken, discoloured and uneven teeth, providing a natural-looking smile that can have you gleaming like a Hollywood star, greatly improving your smile’s appearance and your confidence.
What are Porcelain Veneers?
Veneers are very thin, specially shaped pieces of porcelain that are bonded onto the front of your teeth to create a beautiful smile. Usually, we will transform all the teeth within the smile zone so we can change the colour and the shape to create your desired result. As your smile enhancement can be achieved in as little as three to four weeks, veneers are an effective and relatively quick way to enhance your confidence when you smile.
How are teeth prepared for the veneer bonding?
Porcelain veneers are often chosen as the course of treatment for discolouration, poor teeth alignment or chipped teeth due to the simple nature of the procedure. In some instances, a minimal amount of the outer enamel will need to be removed to allow for a strong bonding surface for the veneer. A local anaesthetic is sometimes used to ensure there is no discomfort, though is often not required. Once the tooth is prepared, a mould is taken, and information recorded on the colour of surrounding teeth, this is passed to a dental technician who will then use the information to create your perfect porcelain veneer. On your second visit, the veneer will then be chemically bonded to your tooth.
